I'd like to ask if it would be possible to add the WinTUN driver (https://www.wintun.net/) to the Securepoint SSL VPN Client. How to install is described here: https://blog.nuvotex.de/openvpn-2-5-using-wintun/, WinTUN is known to work with Securepoint UTM: https://www.andysblog.de/windows-openvpn-mit-wintun-nutzen, but Securepoint Client isn't shipped with wintun.dll (driver) or tapctl.exe, but tapinstall.exe, which won't let me install the wintun driver as described above.

I just came across https://www.mut.de/7zip.html - why is a company selling an open source product like 7-Zip? Is this behaviour allowed?

Finally found it - inside the MSI file there are four different components for pre-win10 x86 (x86TAPDriver) and x64 (x64TAPDriver), win10 x86 (win10x86TAPDriver) and x64 (win10x64TAPDriver). The components are chosen by the property "PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE" (x86 or not x86) and "CWINVERSION" (which defaults to 7). When the property "CWINVERSION" is set to 10 by transform file or command line the Win10 driver gets installed and is loaded without error.

Any news on this? Maybe the root cause was switching from a driver signed by OpenVPN with a certificate issued beforce 2015 to a driver signed by Securepoint with a certificate issued in 2019. An older blog entry from Microsoft is describing exactly this: https://web.archive.org/web/20180711092011/https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/windows_hardware_certification/2016/07/26/driver-signing-changes-in-windows-10-version-1607/

Software like Trustwave SEG is using 7-Zip... maybe a support request there bumps this.
