hi. i generally embed my covers in my FLACs using a tag editor (i use dBpoweramp for all my music ripping/management needs but thats not free, but exfalso is, and its pretty good too as i use that if i have tagging needs on linux) on windows to get exfalso youll need to download quodlibet as its not distribvuted seperately. https://quodlibet.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ you can also try naming them "cover" and putting em in the folder, that may work too. for example [artist]/[album]/cover.jpg for me...

it not ridiculous, it just sounds like you grabbed the wrong type of software. Aria is not a pusic player in the traditional sense. its a MPD client. you need a seperate mpd server/daemon on the same computer or on another computer to use it. heres some options. some some of the bigger ones on the raspberry pi are: volumio, Rune Audio, (i use rune audio) ther is a reletively new one called moOde audio as well. another option is running a MPD server on your compouter then using 127.0.0.1 as the host...
