English is not my native language, but I beleive I detected some offense in the answer. I am NOT criticizing your program in any way, and it is also not my intention, but I have only expressed my opinion. if you don't like it, ignore it. I see the functionality of the program as something like someone building a fortress with state-of-the-art security, then leaving the front door unlocked when they leave home - so, i just beleive that probability that I will leave the window with a new/edit entry...

I came to look around a bit, if the author of the program may have changed the approach to security - I see that the security of a program that tries to ensure data security still depends on the weakest link in the chain - the human factor (see my opening topic). what a pity.

yes, it is synched, but anyway not shown on map. as I said, just a click in tour chart window or on tab and tour appears on map. strange.

hi, function is implemented in last update. great improvement, imho. Thank you. I'd just like to ask if this is the way the function works or there is something else: when I click photo, photo is shown on map and tour data are loaded in tour chart, but tour is not visible on map. when I click in tour chart window, then tour also appears on the map. is this ok?

3d at least on my computer works very unreliable and also this is not a good way to analyze track and see where you've been. 2d map is perfect for that. I beleive, tour direction is missing in 2d. see attached screen shot.

@Maarten thnx for your answer. you did give me another look at the problem and I started to think a little bit wider and try to find problem outside MTB. and I DID solve it! it was a problem with NAS system. I had some NAS directories which were connected to NAS but I was not logged in. that caused all problems with delayed time. now everything works PERFECTLY, directories are almost instantly listed :) photo location is also solved with your suggestion. so, once again, thank you - you made my d...

The ‘Photos’ feature frustrates me more and more. I have already asked about it here, but unfortunately the answers did not solve the problem (if this is a problem at all and not such an operation of MTB - which I hope not) When I want to upload photos (clicking the ‘Photos’ button) to the track, it takes up to 2 minutes for MTB to scan the entire computer for photo selection - MTB is unresponsive during this time. hi Wolfgang, your suggestion didn't solve the problem. it is really annoying especially when MT is started with Photos window opened - it takes up to 2 minutes while it is impossible to work with MT due to 'not responding' message. why there is no option in settings to define default directory to search on beginning or maybe 'open directory' dialog? is there any solution to solve this or I will really have to stop using Photos function? ps/are you an author of MT - just to know if I ask you a proper...

thnx. this - let say dissfunctionality (which is not), is not so important for me since I use keepass only for 'home' use, just to have all info on one place, not necessary to hide them. I allways like to give a feedback to programmers/authors of apps as a small contribution for using app. I am somehow demanding user and beleive my suggestions are usually argumented. but decision is allways on author - if he/she agrees with me - fine, if not - fine as well.

thnx for the answer, Paul. it makes sense - but I dissagree with this philosophy. most important: human fails any of stated solution would be better than leave database open. security first. of course, only my opinion.

I was starting to fulfill new entry but was interrupted in the middle by phone call. Application stood opend (and accesable) for anyone all the time and was not closed due to inactivity - either keepas either global which are set to 300 and 240 sec.

thank you Frederic for solving this. I didn't even know that two of these tours wasn't in MT until you asked for files. nothing dramatic about these two tours but, what is more important, import function works now perfect again. I would appreciate if you find time to answer about second issue in this topic - long time showing photos. I sent a screenshot via reply.

when I click 'photos' for linking them it took approx 1 minute (MT is not respodnding) to show this screen (enclosed screenshot) to select photos for linking. I have thousands of photos on disk.

I found files - see attachments. additional info: fit file from 5.9.20 is in MT correctly fit file from 9.4.20 was manually added to MT fit files from 24.1.20 and 3.12.19 are not listed in MT

do you mean any specific file from backup directory? I tested today's file (enclosed) - import with old backup directory was with errors, folder icon showed '5' (see enclosed file) but on garmin edge device was only one fit file. same file with backup on new directory was imported without errors.

I found out what is causing the problem - I was using also 'backup files to folder' function during import tours. there are approx 550 fit files in that directory. I created new directory and changed backup location to new one and all errors during import are gone. if backup is disabled import is also without errors. it was also very strange that there was allways higher number in directory icon in easy import screen than tours number on device. for example, on device was only one tour (fit file)...

I haven't seen that until I changed view. I hope, this will solve this issue. since we were talking about photos issue I'd like to ask if it is normal that photos command takes about one minute or more to display photos for linking into tours? I have separated disk in laptop with all my photos and there are thousands of them. MT allways display all of them although this is not necessary. is it possible to select only one directory (or maybe few of them) to show? it would be much faster, i beleive....

I wouldn't know ... I just found out this, but defenitely there were same problems with some other linked photos. I enclosed video.

i just found out if i turn off 'show photos' issue is gone (and back again when 'show photos' turned on)

in tour import there are allways warnings in log, marked with red cross mark, but tours are imported correctly. i am enclosing fit file from today which created issue (it happened also before with some other files). in enclosed file i saw that gps is recorded very incorrect since this was return hike and should be almost the same in both directions. i use garmin vivoactive hr.

hi, I obviously doing something wrong - when I link photo with tour, the tour dissapear from map, photo is shown, and saving photos results in message 'photos cannot be saved in history tours .... only in real tours'. Any suggestion? thnx

this is something i do not understand - what is the purpose of hidding passwords when database is unlocked ??? - when database is open/unlocked this really doesn't matter. i would definitelly put this in settings as option show/hide.

yes, of course, keepass really has more great options for entering data into fields. however, i believe that the simpliest solutions are often also the best solutions. while discovering the program I saw that an individual value (username or password) can be copied in to a clipboard and if it can be one, why not then also both at once? of course, that’s just my thinking.

Hi, before Keepass I was using a pass manager which was able to copy username and password into clipboard with only one stroke (ctrl+c) .... data were then transfer into fields manually with ctrl+v, tab, ctrl-v. for me this was (and it is) the fastest way to fulfill adequate fields without any confusions and errors. i could not find this in keepass, so i would appreciate info if this is possible in this sw? thnx

hi, first of all, thnx for you answer and help. 1) fit files were created with garmin edge 500 and vivoactive hr. I get same errors in reports with both devices (fit files) but as i said, activities are imported correctly. i can send you fit file to test if you want - let me know. 2) i got those errors with installing maps from link you also send it. i use drag and drop function but no map is loaded. enclosed is captured error message from "Thunderforest OpenCycleMap", which you recommended. it is...

Hi, suddenly a problem occured with imported tours (from Garmin vivoactive HR). tour is imported correctly and it is shown on tour map or tour editor until it is in import tour tab. tour is not listed in tour book even if i import it as file. when i close program and run it again tour is not visible anywhere. any suggestions please? ps/MTB version is 18.7.0., error log enclosed

Hi Wolfgang, first of all thank you for your prompt answer. I use your sw for few weeks and I found out it is a great product which almost perfectly suits my needs. Only remark is connected with my previous question. Some activities are done with my girlfriend (with my garmin devices) so I would like to archive also her achievements. Maybe there is already future request but anyway - have you considered about option to assign more people to one tour and then make it available thrue filters like it...

I tried everything I knew but I am still unable to use command 'duplicate tour' which is all the time grayed out and thus unaccessable. I'd like to use same tour for two persons. thnx for any help.
