I was just wondering is it possible for you to make it so you can rename and add new episodes if you drag the video file where the episode list is if you have missing episodes open and drag it onto the highlighted episode then it will scrape the episode and rename it according to the settings you have selected in tv prefrences? Not sure if this would be possible but be nice in case you dont know the seazon and episode number and dont feel like naming the video S01E01.(ext)according to MC standards...

Is there a way you can do the tvdb alternative order for scraping since some shows have an alternative order on tvdb instead of just aired, dvd and absolute or is it just dvd, aired and absoulute order for media companion?

Any luck also reason am asking is sometimes a tv series locks on tvdb so you can't edit it further so be hard to add actors on their site for shows and episodes and some shows and epioses dont exist on tmdb. ALso i realzie not same setup i meant the same design as the movie editor.

I notice when you scrape from tvdb for epsiodes their is no guest star images for episodes how do you fix that since when you go on the tvdb website you can clicik thename of hte actor under cast/crew and get the guest star image how do you fix that so media compnaion scrapes the guest star image?

Any luck on this since i was thinking why not use the same interface you used for the movie nfo editor you have set for advanced for shows and episodes might be easier to impliment?

I did but it doenst say where to find the xbmc path it just shows an exmaple smb://NAS1. That is for nas users for kodi not for peopel who use windows in general.

I want to create a centralized actor folder on Media Companion but i am not sure how to find the XBMC Path and how does this work: The XBMC Path needs to be same folder as above but where xbmc is installed? Sorry am jsut wondering since it be useful to have a centralized actor folder so save space on actor images so all teh actor images are all in one location but am not sure how to set it up.

For the movie nfo editor can you make it so you add the url for actor images in case the actor image is missing you can download one from the internet. Sort of like how you can add your own actors on their and roles and add images in the editor but can you duplicate that option for current available actors so you can add missing actor images manually.

Whenn i say no actors i mean no actors in the nfo/Media Companion not from the website it scapes from

In short it will update the actor fields even if they aren't empty in the nfo or on media companion when the update empty fields should only update the episodes that have no actors in the episode.

Found out i can edit the episode actors in MediaElch not TVShow actors those I have to edit in Notepad++ since if I try editing tv show actors in a different scraper will say not found for the show if edit them that way.

Just wondering can you enable the Rescrape Wizard for episodes since not every episode needs to be rescraped every time you do the rescrape wizard and choose what you want to be rescraped for epiosdes since it assumes you want every episode rescraped which is not always the case.

One last tv example MLP: Friendship is Magic there are lot of actors who voiced multiple characters on that show.

An example show is The Real Ghostbusters. One of the actors is Frank Welker who on TMDB for show says voices Dr. Raymond Stantz / Slimer (voice). But it only shows Slimer (voice) on MC and if you scrape it fom IMDB for S01E04 Slimer comes Home. For same actor on that episode shows Dr. Raymond Stantz / Slimer / Mohawk Punk (voice). But it says on MC only roole was Slimer which is incorrect. I even checked nfo only shows single role for that actor.

Since the banner scraping and the amount of banners should match the amount of seasons on tvdb and tmdb.

Sorry. Its just very annoying it doing that. i have to maually delete all those extra banners.

Same with the show death Battle it starts with season 2011 and it created over 2000 non existing season banners.

Same if you do Pawn stars and the season starts with season 2000. it will create over 1900 extra banners.

If you do Disney animated series it will create banners for seasons 11-1921 when none of those seasons exist on TVDB. ONly seasons 1-8 for DVD order exist and Seasons 1922 onward exist. there is no Seasons 11-1921. it will create over 1800 banners for none existing seasons. Same with if you do any show that doesn't start with Season 1.

This is when you scrape a series and you want the banners autoamtically downloaded it creates banners for non existing seasons on TVDB and i know tvdb doeesnt have banners for those seasons.

What manual series function? I am talking about banners if you click TV Prefrences and D/L Sesaon posters then the check box there is banners afer taht. When you check it it creaets banners for non existing seasons on TVDB.

Also it creates 1 extra banner after the final season of the show on tvdb or tmdb.

Go ahead sorry for the misunderstanding I somehow messed up the tv preferences and caused it to double add the actors into the episodes somehow not sure what i did to cause it to happen if i knew I'd tell you so you could reproduce what I did.

Its working now. I think i had something wrong in the TV preferences before to cause it to happen since i messed around with the preferences and got it to work like its supposed to.

It does it for The Little Rascals. I think only does it if all character images are blank.

Nevermind i fixed it myself i just copied the settings from the pc verson to my flash drive version and it fixed the issue. You can close this.

I tried it with imdb only for both same issue occured it seems it only happens if you manually add an imdbid it carries over actors and stll uses the imdb actor source.

Maybe add a rewrite nfo option for just episodes as well in the rescrape wizard forwhen you add the imdid and rescrape episode actors that way it will update the actors directly from the scrape episode scrape source instead of simply carrying over both since it only does it if you manually add a imdid? It seems it only happens carrying over the actors when you add a imdbid if its linked to an actual show on tmdb or tvdb. It doesnt do it for custom shows like Three Stooges, Little Rascals, excetra.

In short, if TMDB is the episode actor source, it will honor the imdbid episode actor source and will only the use actors from IMDB when scraping and adding an episode for the first time. However, if you manually add imdid and then use the rescrape wizard to rescrape and add the episode actors, both TMDB and IMDB episode actor sources will be used for that episode.

It only does it if you have TMDB for the actor source episode source for your show it doesn't do it for tvdb. If the imdbid is present when scraping an episode for first time it wont happen .

It doesnt do this issue if the imdbid was already present when you scraped the episodes the first time it correctly displays what IMDB shows for the actors it might be related to the rescrape wizard. It only does this if you add a missing imdb to an episode it copies the actors from the tv show actors when you do the rescrape wizard and do episode actors only.

Never-mind it's fine you can close this ticket but i did find a new issue not related to this one I'll create new ticket.

Sometimes it will remove the folder soemtiems it wont.

You have to remove it manually then click save changes then re add it then it will re add the show. Since it wont automatically remove the folder from the folder list.

Not fixed since i just tried removign a show and readding it and it didnt notice the folder. I also noticed if you remove the tvshow adnd nfos it wont remove the folder from the folder list that might be why it doesnt readd the show. It doesnt properly remove the folder frm the folder list after the show and and all nfos and and artwork are removed.

I just found out. I can use imdb actors for those episodes i can found out i jsut paste the imdb url and it scrapes the actors froom imdb and it uses both even though the episodes of the three stooges are moives yu can still use the imdb url for that episode and get the actors for those so that works.

Yep that worked copied the actors from the tvshow.nfo into the epiosde nfo and it showed up into media companion i used a tmdb episode scraping for an exampel to show the locatinos and it worked for an episode it copied the actors into the epiosde.

I guess i can copy the actors into correct location into nfo if i find an episdoe on tvdb with a guest star actor and go from there and keep that nfo as an example to use for future episodes and use the rescrape wizard to scrape the actors i want into the episode?

Its the episode itsellf thats not adding images or roles not the tv show.

Doesnt matter what epiosde its any episode it doesnt add the tv main tv show cast to an episode since i have 15 three stooges episodes and all the episdoe actors and roles are blank for every episode.

And i have TVDB actors and episodes actors selected for the main scraping for the show the three stooges.

This is for the tvdb scraper not tmdb its a show that only exists on TVDB and cant be added to TMDB.

No i said the episode exists on TVDB but it wont add any actors to the episode not even the main tv show cast to that episode. Its the show The Three Stooges.

Sorry am not sure if this is supposed to be correct or not for tvdb it not showing every actor that is in the tv show cast for a single episode includng guest stars since tvdb works diffently then tmdb.

Yep same issue opccured it didnt carry over the tv show actors since tvdb is diffent then tmdb it didnt show any actors at all for an episode i just tried with a three stooges episode and it didnt show the tv show actors for an episode it was all blank even though no guest stars it should show the tv show actors since all those three stooges should be part of the episode evne though not all 5 of the stooges appeard in that episode it is what tvdb is supposed to show for an episode i think.

I downloaded it. And now its correclty added the season actors so the episode list isnt blank now. and now its showing the full cast list jsut like tmdb.

Correct. I think season credits are supposed to be with episode credits for episodes i think that will show you the full actor and role list from the tmdb website for an episode. But not 100% sure.

Reason i sugested season actors as well is becasue that is what kodi shows when you right and show informtion for episode if dont use an nfo it shows the season regulars and the guest stars for an episode.
