The problem could be solved now be deinstalling skylendar-4.2nn-1-x86_64.deb and installing the package skylendar-4.1.2nn-1-linuxmint-x86_64.deb The package for Linux Mint runs in Debian Buster (stable).

It seems more to be the correct glibc the problem? skylendar: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.29' not found (required by /usr/local/lib64/libskyldr.so.4) skylendar: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5.12' not found (required by /usr/local/lib64/libskyldr.so.4) Or is the problem that Qt_5.12 is needed instead of 5.11 ? # ldd /usr/local/lib64/libskyldr.so.4 /usr/local/lib64/libskyldr.so.4: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.29' not found (required...

Ah - then we come closer to the problem, because i have no tabs. Then the reason is an incompatibility of Thunderbird 60.4.0 with the libraries of Debian 8. There is already an open bug https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=916443 I will check this in Debian 9 - but i think it will work there.

Menu Enigmail -> Schlüssel verwalten (i don't know what it is named in english). When you call over the context-menu the key properties you don't get any information about the key anymore (type, key length).

Thanks for your response. I can say that the above combination of Thunderbird 52.9.1 and Enigmail 2.0.8 is working good. I am using Debian 9 too and there is no problem with Enigmail too. After security upgrades it is possible that you have to deactivate and activate the Enigmail-Plugin if problems occur. But this time it was really suspicious what has happened.

Now - after the next reboot the eMail works again as usual. Hmmm - the solution seems to be to open an bug ticket :-) I think this can be closed. Now you know about such problems ...
