oh thanks! ill keep the setting on then.
To install macFUSE on Sonoma, i first need to disable the security setting to allow kernel extensions. After installing MacFUSE, can I turn back on the kext security? Or must it stay permanently disabled?
Is there a workaround to this issue?
I use 7-zip to create a password-protected zipped file with one excel spreadseet. I then extracted the excel spreadsheet, edited it, and dropped it back into the zip folder. A prompt came up asking if I want to copy and replace the file. I click Copy and Replace. And the zipped file is no longer password-protected? Is this expected behaviour?

The excel file is a macro-enabled file that has sensitive data. However, if I password protect the excel file, the macros won't run until the password is removed....
