The Alex’s solutions should be in VeraCrypt when finalized as he said. It seems impossible for me to edit the title of this thread with “[ALREADY IN PROGRESS] Add the possibility to use keyfiles for system encryption” for example. So, every reader considers this thread as: ALREADY IN PROGRESS.

Ok I understand. Really sad to see that for the main developer. I hope it will be OK, VeraCrypt is very important, but obviously nobody forces you for logical reasons.

This is the only missing method which prevents me from fully using VeraCrypt because the password has to be at least 20 characters long to be useful and this method is not easy to use if I want to change the password every month for example. While with keyfiles, it is just magic! By the way, thank you for your work on VeraCrypt. Like TLS for Internet, it is a very important project. Thank you again!

7-Zip now reserves file space before writing to file (for extraction from archive). It can reduce file fragmentation. Thank you Igor, this is very important (it reduces assuredly the file fragmentation) :)
