I fixed that by adding the flag in the kilerc directly under the Tool/LivePreview-PDFLateX Section. This led me to be able to compile the file but the live preview feature still won't work. It just says 'Cannot open log file; did you run LaTeX?' I assume this happens because the live preview files are saved under...
