We use OpenAS2 (v2.14.0 with OpenJDK 17 on CentOS 7) and have connections routed via a proxy server using the http(s).proxyHost and http(s).proxyPort settings in config.xml as described in section 6.9 of the OpenAS2 howto. This works as expected. Recently I started experimenting with the dedicated healthcheck module (as described in 6.10.2 of the same howto) to improve the monitoring.
