Hi Glen, Which ASTAP window are you trying to select files from? If it's the main window (File > Load FITS or other format), then you can only select 1 file at a time, as that's all it processes. If it's from the "Stack" window, then using the "Browse" button allows the normal multi-file selection options. You can also select files in a Windows Explorer window and "drag and drop" files on to the "Stack" window. Cheers, Jim.

Hi Geoff, Assuming you are running Windows, then you need "Window 64 bit Program (v2023.03.17)" (the topmost entry in the table) Also, unless disk space is really an issue for you, I would recommend the "D50" database. Cheers, Jim

Hi Han, It's not a problem. I just thought you might be interested. I don't remember the older versions taking that long, but I haven't verified that. Cheers, Jim

Hi Han, I've just tried the latest ASTAP version and the D50 dB. Both seem to work well and certainly very fast. A typical solve is taking about 0.8s. What is interesting is if I use the ASTAP UI and load a .fits sub, it takes the UI about 12s to displsy the sub. A .png file takes about 5s. If I do an ASTAP based solve from APT it runs ASTAP and returns the solve in 1s. So the UI seems to be taking a long time to load and display the sub. is this what you would expect? Cheers, Jim

Hi Han, We're good, thank you. :-) I should have guessed you've already thought of/implemented it! You are the same as Ivo... whenever I suggest something to him, he's always though of it, implemented it or rejected it! lol I'll pass that info on to him. Thanks as always, Jim

Hi Han, Hope you've had a good weekend? :-) I was just wondering of ASATP can do a completely Blind solve? That is, could it be a replacement tool for nova.astrometry.net? Which I'm sure you know, can solve any image without the user providing anything other than the image itself? As you know ,it can be quite difficult for users to identify their actual Focal Length. Especially if there are devices (e.g. reducers) in the optical train. What I have always suggested is that users submit an image to...
