Seems like the version of glade (glade 3.18.3) I have isn't the right one. Which should I get (assuming I am supposed to use glade to edit exult_studio.glade). Exult_studio has problems too: jeff@jeff-HP-Pavilion-dm4-Notebook-PC:~/proj/exult.master/mapedit$ ./exult_studio --si Unrecognized system path '<home>' in path '<home>'.</home></home> (exult_studio:9885): WARNING : Couldn't load builder file: Invalid root element: 'glade-interface' On 5/13/20 2:16 PM, Marzo Sette Torres Junior wrote: Anyway,...
K, thanks. I'll have to get it manually, then. I finally got around to updating, and got this: checking for SDL - version >= 2.0.6... no, version < 2.0.6 found Seems my version of Ubuntu only has SDL 2.0.4. Would that work okay, or do I really need 2.0.6? On 5/13/20 2:16 PM, Marzo Sette Torres Junior wrote: Anyway, things went a lot more smoothly this time around. Thanks, Marzo! Yes, I don't think there's any reason to store it as char anyway, as it's read in from an 'int' (I think). I tried using gtk-builder-convert. It had a lot of complaints, but the result seems to work in exult_studio. Bringing it up with glade also appears to work, but with various warnings and errors. Looks like it could take a lot of time to sort it all out. Is this what you attempted? With all that, when I look at the 'warmth' spin button, I don't see a way to allow it to go negative. I haven't edited the 'exult_studio.glade' file in several years. And now 'glade' complains: Couldnt recognize GtkBuilder xml ... But exult_studio reads it okay. Do I need a newer version of glade? I see references to 'gtk-builder', and I tried 'gtk-builder-convert', with no luck. It's been so long since I was debugging usecode, that I've forgotten what 'npc_id' is. Looking a little, it's an SI-only field that gets set and tested only by usecode, not by anything else, and it gets saved and restored in savegames. So it looks like it's wrong in the savegame, but we don't know how it got that way. Might be impossible unless we can duplicate it in a fresh game. In monstinf.h, I see we have flags from saved games for 'swim', 'fly', etc. Maybe there's one for walking on lava.
