I am running a simulation where I have a number of compounds created and I want to force compressibility factor for both specific streams and entire workbook. This is becoming an issue because I will go into the property overide for all compressibility values in both phases (mixed and vapour) and saved this, yet it will still force an EOS calculation. What does everyone recommend? Should I instead just try to set the factors used in the EOS calculation, such as eccentric factor, critical temp/pressure,...

Happy Monday everyone, I am trying a simulation for a steam boiler. I have created a PFR as a combustion chamber and a heat exchanger as the drum. There are a few issues I am coming across completing this simulation v.s. what I see in real life. 1) When methanol oxidation reaction occurs in PFR, only the temperature increases and not the pressure. Is there a way to account for pressure gain within the system from enthalpy increasing? 2) When water flows through the heat exchanger and is evaporated,...
Hi! I am trying to create a dynamic model for a wastewater tank with following parameters: - Inlet flow of 1.5 L/min. - Outlet flow of 6.0 L/min. - Outlet stream splits so that 1.5L/min continues upstream and 4.5 L/min is recirculated back into the tank. Configuration is due to pressure requirements not allowing a lower flow rate from available pumps. I have not set up the controllers yet and instead went to run a dynamic model just to make sure its all "working" but I receive a huge list of errors....
