I run Memoranda fine in OS/2-ECS. OS/2 uses OpenJDK version 6 something and its not the latest 6. We had some troubles in different versions of OpenJDK 6, probably due to converting problems. Therefore you see JAVA160ga5. If you can start OpenJDK this way in an other OS I don't know. I use a command file with next contents; @echo off rem Java 1.4.2 rem SET JAVA_HOME=[drive: java]\JAVA142 rem set BEGINLIBPATH=[drive: java]\JAVA142\bin rem set path=[drive: java]\JAVA142\bin rem Java 1.6.0 set BEGINLIBPATH=[drive:...

Hello Jean-Marc, Downloaded v.0.20.8. Some directories changed in the jar. I updated the language files as far as I have it. Tested >Administration>Accounts management>Checkbooks>New Result a normal popup with four fields with enough room to do something. Did fill in a fantasy checkbook and this works. So one "bug" down ;-), thank you for this fix. New Sub transaction does still have a very small field for amount, but I don't know if you did fix this. Hello Jean-Marc, Thank you for your answer and thank you for testing. Never touched the appearence tab. Tried it, indeed no change. If you make a new sub-transaction, then everything is presented as expected, except for the field amount (TransactionDialog.amount), which is too small to get anything in it. The field "TransactionDialog.description" is almost as wide as the popup. If it would be a bug in our JVM implementation, then this field would also have the same wide as "TransactionDialog.amount",...
[1] https://sourceforge.net/projects/rachota/files/Rachota%202.4/Rachota%202.4/rachota_24.jar/download Download the file. Two remarks. There isn't a Dutch language in the jar. Second, can't start it because its set to Java 10. We're stuck on Java 6, will take some time to get to a more modern Java because QT gets priority due to Mozilla's course for total new lib/compiler which is not available for OS/2-eCS. So unfortunately Java is back to the backburner ;-(

Hello Jean-Marc, I did a test. I did set resolution to the maximum which is possible with my monitor, this is 1280x1024. Its getting all small ;-(. Next started Yapbam and did test if the bug was due to low screen resolution. Test failed, all "display bugs" stayed the same way. There was no difference between 1024x768 or 1280x1024. Regards, Joop
Hello Jean-Marc, At the moment 1024x768, screen resolution can be set higher, but then its getting too small for my eyes. Regards, Joop
Edits the selected payment mode, some fields are too narrow
Fields in screen new checkbook too narrow
No roo for amount in screen subtransaction
New transfer screen missing space
Thanks for the offer, but OS/2 does work in a different way, so that task is already done, but yet only available to the OS/2 community.
You have a mail with enclosed the Dutch dictionary and a screendump with the screen which can't be translated.
I don't know if this is still read or if the program is still maintained. I translated Rachota into Dutch and inserted it into the jar file. Works fine, interested? Also found out that a part can't be translated because that part isn't in the language file en_US and so not in the nl_NL file.
In the summary is stated "UPM is available on Android, Windows, OS X & Linux.", but this is not true. UPM runs also on OS/2, eComStation and ArcaOS. Up to now we use one of the Linux distributions, but a zip file would be appreciated. Thanks. Just to let you know.
Can't create a ticket, so here it is. In some menu options you are presented with a submenu with choices. You have to pick one, but that is impossible because the window with choices is just as wide as the scrollbar on the right side of that window. Too bad, for the rest the program looks very good, but due to this problem couldn't test any further. Would be nice if the interface can be presented in other languages too.
