Hi, YABE is very useful but a scenario was found where it was not behaving as expected (but it is a point of view). There are devices where one property is used as a heartbeat and can detect if the client (a.ka. the master) stops sending write requests. On the other hand, it seems that trying to write the SAME value as the one read with YABE doesn't result in a write request (it looks like it is filtered out by YABE, it was checked with Wireshark). Is it something that can be adapted ? Thank you
Hi, I think it can be an improvement to accept segmented response when generating EPICS (it even doesn't harm to be the default). Best regards, Jonathan
Infinite loop with "Input file MyFile cannot be opened. Enter new filename: "
Thanks Horst ! By chance, I was just looking for a way to do it today !
Excellent !
Improve performance for selection
Issue with EPICS containing bitstring-value
When I click on "Scan"
When I click on "Read/Write"
Hi elbar, Could you tell why you closed the ticket ? Thank you !
I looks like the registers are shifted by 2 addresses
I have also an issue with the scan mode in 0.5.3-beta (it works well in 0.5.2-3). I can read the values with the "Read / Write" button but trying the scan gives me : "Error : Illegal data address"
Cannot enter letters for hexadecimal
Crash when writing to a register and with "No" not a multiple of 10
Support more recent Protocol Revision
Hello elbar, Thank you for the permissions. I already managed to get a local copy of the repository. My question was more over the way to collaborate. It seems that hg doesn't have things like "pull request" (also known as "merge request"). I was wandering how you can give me feedback on the code I want to integrate in QModMaster. Should I create a specific branch and commit on this particular one and when the feature is ready, merge it into master (that can be your action) ? Best regards
Hello elbar, I will be glad to have the right permissions to collaborate. I will need some guidance, as I'm not used to hg nor sourceforge (but I know git quite well and I also collaborate on several projects on Github, for example). Best regards,
Hello, I have started to look at implementing the float decoding in qmodmaster. I have started a pyModSlave with hex : 0, 0, 0, 3F80, 0, C000, AAAB, 3EAA (I found the value there : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-precision_floating-point_format#Single-precision_examples ) I tried to look for the number with modpoll (the command line utility and I get correctly : modpoll -m tcp -t 4:float -c 4 -1 127.0.0.1 modpoll 3.7 - FieldTalk(tm) Modbus(R) Master Simulator Copyright (c) 2002-2019 proconX...
I got same issue with srecord-1.63-win32 : .\srec_info.exe -Help man: No such file or directory I managed to convert an hex file to binary file with : .\srec_cat.exe .\foo.hex -Intel -offset - -minimum-addr .\foo.hex -Intel -Output foo.bin -Binary You can try with : .\srec_cat.exe .\foo.hex -Intel -Output foo.bin -Binary But you can end up with a very big foo.bin as it will fill every space from 0 to the start of the hex file (0x08000000 in my case). foo.bin was >100MB.

Add ability to decode 32bits encoded as float
Yes ! Personaly, I use version 2.15.4 : https://sourceforge.net/projects/winmerge/files/alpha/2.15.4/WinMerge-2.15.4-x64-Setup.exe/download but I guess that version 2.14.0 works also.
Thank you, I'm now working on the version 3.6.7 :-) I will be glad to help but I didn't know if I will get reaction, so I kept it short. Let's get into the rabbit hole: 1) It needs to upgrade to .NET Framework 4.5 2) I get 3 errors: Error 1 error MSB8031: Building an MFC project for a non-Unicode character set is deprecated. You must change the project property to Unicode or download an additional library. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=286820 for more information. C:\Program Files...
Hello, If I look at the SVN history, it says that the current version is 3.6.7 but in the "Files" section, only version 3.6.5 is provided. I tried to build the last revision (r1012) with VS2012 but it did not suceed. Could you provide new builds ? Thank you, Jonathan
