Thanks Jertzukka and Enigma2Illusion. If I understand correctly, because I didn't encrypt a partition, I cannot use Auto-mount. Enigma2Illusion: I took a look at the links you provided for System Favorite Volumes and Favorite Volumes. I don't think either of them applies to what I want to do: after restarting the computer, I want the encrypted container on the USB Drive to mount automatically. Is there anyway to do that, perhaps using a BAT file? John

I installed VeraCrypt 1.26.7 (64-bit) earlier this week on a test computer running Windows 10 (fully patched). I wanted to encrypt a backup in case anyone stole the HDD I use for backup. Installing went fine, as did the container creation. Robocopy also worked well to the mounted drive. Once that was done, I tried to configure Auto-mount. That failed.
