...and I noticed the asterisks making things italic, I kept fighting that and still they are removed - but you'll see they are really there in my search

I'm working on something with a strict NDA, so I had to copy files and move them to different directories without my client name and project names, etc. Also, I had to modify the log file to remove my name and client name as well - and it behaved a little different in the temp directory (odd?) BUT, ultimately it's listing the exclusions still as all the files, event though I haven't excluded them. See attached zip file of the screenshots and log file

Thanks for the reply. I am indeed using .htm,.html for my File Types, and it seems the search is working, but it lists all the html files as excluded. I have noticed if I set my Search Path to the directory where the html files are located - they are not listed as excluded. If I go up one directory and re-run the search, it then lists them all as excluded. Note that I found the search is actually working, in any case. It appears to possibly be a bug on making the exclusion list? It's misleading as...

I am trying to search through content of html files, but AG is excluding all html files from the search (but is maybe still searching - not sure?). It lists every html file in the exclusions list, even though I don't have any exclusion for the htm or html type. In the exclusions list it says File->Extension . If I select the search type as . it does not list the html files in the exclusion list. If I set the type to .htm, .html then it lists all the html files as excluded. What am I missing?
