On my laptop Win10 Home edition I launched the install of the Latest Stable Release: 1.24-Update7 (Friday August 7, 2020) I met something strange because previously, files extensions was hidden (can't write recovery file). After displayed it, the install go further ; bootloader with password is ok but when Veracrypt test recovery file on USB key ( writte it perfectly) I have the message "Can't verify recovery file" (or something approx) and process can't...

I got the same problem, and go a bit further because files extensions was hidden on Windows 10 Home. Then zip was created but can't be checked by Veracrypt so encryption can't continue ; any help on this trouble will be appreciated thanx

Hello everybody I am a bit worried with my PC under Win10 home edition. I began install of Veracrypt v1.24 update7 but, first time my files extension was hidden so Veracrypt can't create the rescue file, then finally I changed it, reboot. The boot loader ask me the password but when I need to record the recovery zip file on my external USB key, Verycrypt can't go further returning message that he can't verify the file.
