thanks for your help so far. What do you think clearOS or oracle? Can I migrate to an lower Fedora system and upgrade that instead? I tried euro Linux but it couldn't migrate because of my raid system... Not sure clearOS would work either. Any other easier systems that could work? I think my yum is broken probably a dns problem blody again. Is there another way to run updates? Bloody nightmare.

Its one problem after the other chmod + virtualmin-install.sh the bash virtualmin-install.sh I get Error: Failed to download utility function library. Cannot continue. Check your network connection and DNS settings. I dont know what to put for resolv.conf no ifpg. Is this the issue?

Ok I haven't really worried about my Centos as my website was working fine. I wanted to update from CENTOS5 (ok EOL was years ago) to Rocky or ALMA. Was unable to move to Alma, probably CENTOS version not being able to. Does anyone have other suggestions? And I see Rocky supports CENTOS8 migration only? Or how can I move easily to another linux system? Thanks

Hi many thanks, had to downgrade to 1.890 and now all good. I will try to change to alma now.

I managed to install mc file manager. I'm sorry I'm a bit of a beginner I have no clue how to tar the files using mc on ssh Also where would I need to create the backup? Leaving it on the server?

I tried force kill I you recommended it in another post. It didn't change it. I have access to the ssh I have no clue how to run file manager with command shell. So you wouldn't downgrade? I'm worried upgrading doesn't solve the issue. I think its a them problem. Before upgrading I changed theme and maybe this is the issue?

Haha sorry for the bad English.what is the shell command to make a backup please ? Also is it easier to downgrade to 1.993? In this case do you also have the shelll for this too?
