For a Fox-Pro database (some tool says it is "ver.5") i am trying to patch some memo-field by appending certain string values read from a csv-file. While reading the data-base an memo-field works like a charme, i failed to append strings to memo-fields. For example, appending a string "01234567890123456789" to memo field "ABC" yields an entry likes this: "ABC012345678901234 X" (where X is some "rectangle"-ASCII-char). I.e. the last five characters are malformed. What am i doing wrong? For CharField...
