Windows jump around when switching between multiple monitors
I can't get this to reproduce. I'd say close it until it ever happens to anybody else.
It happens when I click in a window that does not belong to Alpha, e.g., Terminal.app. I don't know if it matters, but I have two external monitors connected to my laptop, for a total of 3. I've not been at work for a few days, so won't be able to post any further diagnostics until midday Monday (my time).
Increasing hardCodedCounter in Alpha.app/Contents/Resources/Libraries/AlphaTcl/Tcl/SystemCode/Init/AlphaVersionInfo.tcl does not provoke indices to be rebuilt and I still get the error dialog. I tried * after getting the error dialog * after a clean install and AlphaTcl Developer checkout, but before relaunching * before the AlphaTcl Developer checkout (I didn't expect this to work, but thought I'd cover my bases)
