Ok, consider it resolved. The F: drive reference in the event log was the final clue. Previous "chkdsk on startup" actions obiously verified only the system partition, not the others. Now that I have explicitly told chkdsk to verify and fix the F: partition, the message is gone.

Found more info in the Application event log about the problem, a new entry of this type is added on each boot: Type: Error Event ID: 1 Source: VeraCryptSystemFavorites Text: The filesystem of the volume mounted as F: was not cleanly dismounted and needs to be checked for errors. F: is a volume where virtual disk files for VMware are stored. It's a rather large partition of ~750GB on a Toshiba SATA SSD. Windows 7 System Maintenance just recommends me to check volumes for errors and will queue up...

Hi all, for some weeks, I am getting a message after the desktop loaded (all authentication passed). It's in German and rather long, but the essence is that one of the volumes may contain errors which may cause data loss, and I should repair the file system. The message can be confirmed with OK only, there is no way to dismiss it so it does not come back - and I would like to drill down to the reason that triggers this message rather than just ignore the problem. I ran chkdsk at the next boot time...

VeraCrypt is using the standard font embedded in the computer's firmware. I don't think that can be changed easily. To me it seems you have set a very high resolution (4K maybe?), and the computer does not scale maybe? The effect is that text gets really tiny.

Hi all, I am using VeraCrypt for some weeks now and it's pretty impressive. It runs on a Lenovo P50 notebook with two SSDs and a total of 3 partitions, encrypted boot partition included. The notebook is used 95% of the time in a docking station with the lid closed. The monitor attached to the docking station only comes alive once the OS has booted up, and is not getting any signal before this point. This means I have to enter the VC boot password blindly which by itself is not a problem. But sometimes,...

Dear all, is there a way to display the folder for each entry in a search result list? This would help me greatly in verifying whether items are in the best matching folder. I imagine a column containing the folder name, maybe even along with the folder's icon, would be excellent already. Even better if the path to the folder could be displayed completely (i.e. all folder names from root down to the folder the item is stored in). This column is not a great help when viewing the contents of a single...
