I had a feeling those files were copied, nice to know how. We may have a bit of variability in audio hardware, as some existing units already have the hifiberry audio card. I'm still thinking on the best way to ensure the proper USB card is used for jack/JAMULUS. Side note - have you ever seen examples of how to use audio in/out from different devices? Thinking about usb mic and audio headphones. Thanks again. On Tue, Dec 1, 2020, 18:21 Kevin Doren kdoren@users.sourceforge.net wrote: BTW if you are...
Agreed on the hostname, my plan is to leverage your index number so hostname becomes jambox1.local and the URL parameter is 1 as well. The .local DNS resolution is finicky, which is why I'm so happy to see your solution be much more elegant. But I also want to plan for the potential disaster of your urlrelay.com site going down... 😁 On Tue, Dec 1, 2020 at 4:04 PM Kevin Doren kdoren@users.sourceforge.net wrote: On my local network, jambox.local does not resolve under linux (i'm sure that could be...
Hello Kevin - We have purchased a few PIs with the HiFiBerry, but have decided to use a PreSonus A96 instead. Having all the knobs on an external box with the headphone connection built-in should give a better experience for our students. I had to edit the jackd.conf file and adjust its device to point toward the USB instead of HiFiBerry, I may spend a bit of time to see if I can make it a bit more reliable on detecting the USB96. I believe the generic PI image includes the avahi service, and this...
Hello Kevin - Jambox does work extremely well. My question is around openurl.com, is that your website? I'm just trying to figure out how much I need to test just in case that web page is not available. I know we can use jambox.local to connect, but that may have issues with Windows systems. Thanks again!
This looks fabulous! I've been testing Jamulus clients on the PI and been struggling with how students would interface with CLI commands. Your solution via openurl is elegant and sounds like it will work well. I'll start testing tomorrow. Thanks loads!
