There are 16 BBC 1 HD EPG entries! You can obviously "Exclude" all but your local region in the EPG Centre.

Thanks I was confused by the Exit Code 10 error that it had not scanned all frequencies when it actually had scanned the frequencies but obviously not for long enough! I think it has been running Freeview scans with that error on the live server for many years!! When started by the NextPVR Web app the Freeview scan produces the xml output file as expected but the Freesat scan does not happen and the scan stops immediately after the Freeview scan finishes! I have been using NextPVR to record both Freeview DVB-T2 channels and Freesat DVB-S2 channels for many years and have been using EPG Collector to produce the Freeview and Freesat EPG data. A couple of years ago I bought a SAT>IP sever but both NextPVR and EPG Collector never saw the SAT>IP tuner. Thanks! Strange but a search for "PSIMemoryShare.dll not found" didn't find anything newer than 2017!! Where is the version that does not need the 2010 C++ Redist as unable to find it? A couple of years ago I reported a problem as EPG Collector did not recognise my SAT>IP tuner so used it elsewhere. I am setting up a test server to investigate a problem using EPG Collector with a SAT>IP tuner. The live server is still using v31 but have installed v32 on the test server. The SAT>IP tuner is working and finds DVB-S2 Freesat data and have just installed a DVB-T2 tuner but a scan for EPG data crashes with error PSIMemoryShare.dll not found. I have rebooted after installing the DVB-T2. Log file attached. Chris

Thanks for your help as C++ redist from 2010 cured the problem! Very confusing as the old Windows 10 disk I have been running for almost a year only has redist 2012 version installed. You cannot install the 2010 version if you have 2012 installed so you have to uninstall 2012 install 2010 then reinstall 2012!

Last year I updated to Windows 10 and could not get EPG Collector to work with my SAT>IP tuner but it wasn't important as I had a twin PCIe DVB-S2 tuner. One of those tuners failed recently so needed to start using the SAT>IP tuners. The current Windows 10 boot disk seems to have a problem with SAT>IP as a new install on another disk all software now works including EPG Collector with SAT>IP. I have been using EPG Collector for many years and this problem has appeared before but cannot remember how I got round it. If I make any changes to the settings I have used for years I get the popup> The DBVB-S Tuning Parameters have not been updated to the selected frequency list. The new version did not make any difference. In answer to the question yesterday in the Tuners tab the Digibit sat>ip server is listed. There is a Satip Enabled file. It had Frontend=4 from when I enabled SAT>IP. If I enable SAT>IP with defaults it uses tuner 1. Log is from clean install of the new EPG Collector then Enable SAT>IP then select Freesat!

The Digibit SAT>IP tuner is listed with SAT>IP frontend "Not used". If I Run "Collect EPG Data" it says its using Tuner 1 but does not find a signal but its actually using tuner 4! If I try to set the frontend to tuner 4 this is when the "save" problem starts!

My live system running Windows 8.1 has hardware dvb-s tuners so I am trying to use the sat>ip tuner to get it working on a Windows 10 disk. I uninstalled EPG Collector and deleted the remaining EPG Collector directories. I did clean install of latest version. I selected "Create new collection parameters" then selected "UK Freesat" which created the current setup! Tuners 1&2 are used for live tv via TV Headend on a RPi4 so trying to use one of the unused tuners for tests. I do have a working DVB-T2...

Have been using EPG Collector for many years on Windows 8.1 without a problem. I am now testing it on a clean install of Windows 10 and it refuses to save changes with "Incorrect Data" in the log. I uninstalled EPG Collector and deleted anything left and did a clean install. I enabled Sat>IP and selected Freesat under Create Collection Parameters and the result is in the attached log! Chris

There is no need to scan all 8 Mux as the same EPG date is on all Mux. I just scan 2 Mux as a backup. The only difference is that the data for channels native to the mux is transmitted more frequently. There is even BBC West EPG data even though its not broadcast on the Ridge Hill "West" mux! In reality its hardly worth bothering with offsets as the majority of the population are using a standard TV set which don't know about offsets! I now see the confusion as you are talking about the Sub Title in the "Description" field and I am talking about it in the "Title" field. I dont have a Freeview TV connected to a aerial but I do have a Freesat box and can see the Sub-tile in "Description" field in the EPG. As far as I can tell the BBC and some other channels never put a Sub-Title in the description. My interest in the Sub-Title in the Title started when I was unable to record a recent BBC series because the Sub-Title which is different...

I am confused!! Are you saying that EPG Collector should extract the Sub-Title as I was assuming it did nothing? Some of my channels have lots of Sub-Titles but dont know if they were created by the broadcaster or extracted by EPG Collector. Some channels such as all the BBC channels have no separate Sub-Titles at all which is why I assume EPG Collector is not extracting the Sub-Title. Until I saw a comment in an earlier post about extracting the Sub-Title I was going to get my son to write a script...

This is mentioned several times in discussions but nothing useful. In the UK there is no standard way of transmitting the Sub-Title even on the same channel. A few channels do sometimes populate the “Sub-Title” field as the XML file created by EPG Collector does occasionally have a Sub-Title field. The majority of EPG items are simple and have no sub-title. However if the Title contains a “:” it can mean that the text after it is the sub-title but often not! Just to add that My5 is now 5Select and Spike+1 is 5Spike+1 and that Paramount Network is on COM4 Freeview Channel 57 and there is EPG data. However it looks like Paramount may have replaced Spike+1!!

I discovered that I had the invalid character problem on UK Freeview only yesterday and in my setup meant no EPG. Luckily Freesat EPG still works so I mapped the important channels to the Freesat EPG. Was just about to post the problem when I found this thread and also the Update which cured the problem!
