HI, problem with LAS file can be with its version - if you have las file version 1.4 try to downgrade it and import. Or problem can be also with project creation if you have some spaces in your path to project folder. And one more note. From your figure it seams that you are processing only one scan from plot. It has problem with variable point density near and far from scaner. so if you have only single scan setup try to cut far away points or merge more scans together for more uniform pointcloud. Jan

Hi Brandon, thanks for using our software. for segmentation input parameters seems to be the best parameters as average point distance and multiplicator depends on data quality - shadows on branches or stem. important is also terrain cloud, where you should remove all points that do not belong to terrain. For very large cloud we usually use tiles made by lastools. for example we divide 1 square kilometer inot tile with size of 25 m and do segmentation on those tiles, with such a big data you have...

Height is in meters and dbh in cm. But from image you provided is obvious that dbh is incorrectly computed. So try to edit dbh cloud or increase iterations in dbh by hough transform. I normally use las file with size over 2 gb And have no problem. Bug please check if your las file version Is not 1.4 - this version has problems. If you imagine point for which you are looking for neighbors (lets name them as N), now you can test if they are connected together of if they are creating two separate parts.
