Nah its right. If you get a chance one day, you should try this from scratch and document, to see where the process is falling over. Cheers
Hey mate, thanks. I have moved a bit further, now at the install screen as in attached, with no options though. Linked below is my loose steps (from bash history) from the base 16.04 install - with some troubleshooting inbetween. Install from base - bash
Hey mate, I installed the listed dependencies but i just still could not get it working. I'm going to have to start from scratch. Do you have any more detailed steps you performed to get it to a working state? Cheers

Ok thanks, understood. Debug of config/index.php is giving this.. js error? https://pastebin.com/jC6Yrs9C Cheers
Thanks mate, i'll take a look tonight. I don't suppose you have the time to clone your VM (assuming you are using one), clear your content and export an OVA? A security-patchable version of deki would be gold in my oppinion. If I manage to get this working, that is what I am planning to do anyway. Cheers
Yeah chromium and firefox. The page has no source or anything. Not sure what is going on
Thanks mate. I then hit the config landing page, to which it wanted me to run a chmod a+w on the config directory. Now once reloading, config/index.php just gives a blank page..
So the process so far:- comment out continue; on line 486 of /var/www/html/dekiwiki/maintenance/install-utils.inc Change function Language() to function __construct() on line 457 of /var/www/html/dekiwiki/languages/Language.php Create another blank directory /var/www/html/dekiwiki/skins/common/cache/cache-language and change to suitable permissions (any recommendations for proper permissions?) Just stuck on Non-static method Language::getMessage() should not be called statically Screenshot attached.....
Awesome thanks mate, ill give it a go
No worries, i'll keep troubleshooting, thanks for you work on this
