hello, i wanted to ask whats more secure, turn off secure boot or sign the bootloader from veracrypt? does turn off secure boot complete have any security issues for an full encrypted hard drive? like special attacks could be used. and when i sign the bootloadee, do i need an bios passaord? heard about that but could not find much about this. thanks alot

okay so when i already have the rescue disk burned to CD i cant get/create the original iso from it? im sure its damaged because i typed in the password everyday for 6 month, one day my drive got disconnected by electricity fail, then my password was wrong. i was not thinking about damaged header.. and then i got confused because i though my password was wrong and tried out many combinations. and because of of that i got more confused and now im not shure.. there are just 2-3 numbers im not sure...

because is lost like 5% of my password. i have to try out 50 passwords, and to try it on other computer is faster then try to boot original drive. veracrypt have a function to backup header from file, but not from disk shen i reconigze it, or? can i just create a iso from rescue disk and the iso work well?

I am a little bit confused. Yeah i have the rescue disk. And yes, i want to mount the drive on an other computer with "mount without pre authentiaction". But my Head Volume is damaged. It shows me wrong password. So i need to restore it first from rescue disk. So normally, i put in my rescue disk, boot my computer, press f3 for options, right? So its not the problem. BUT i want to use the rescue disk on an other computer .. you know what i mean? I want to put my drive on an other computer, put rescue...

Hey sir, thank you for your fast answer. My english is not the best but i think u got me wrong. I encrypted my whole HDD and createt a rescue Disk. Now i lost my password or backup header is damaged. I wanna decrypt the whole HDD or/and test out some password BUT i wanna decrypt it in Windows on a new HDD with veracrypt.exe. So u plug in the encrypted HDD with USB cable on a fresh Windows HDD and wanna test some password because its much faster. So how can i use my rescue disk to backup original...

Hey, i wanna use my rescue Disk to backup my header. But i wanna use it as external HDD, so when i choose backup header from external backup in veracrypt, i cant choose the rescue Disk on CD? Does it work only with rescue disk as file? Can i re create the rescue file from CD? Or what can i do? I try to get back my password and when i use my HDD as internal its very slow to test out some password, thats the reason why i wanna try it as external on windows.

Hello, my whole encrypted HDD got corrupted, idk why. It always says password incorrect. I also tried to mount via USB and veracrypt on Windows, and clicked on restore volume header if possible, but doesnt work too. Is it saved on rescue disk? How can i try to restore volume header backup manually? What can i do? Ive the rescue disk, i tried to restore key data and tried to decrypt, but it always says wrong password.. Hope anyone can help me
