OK, this helps. sda2 is the target drive for the image. nvme0n1p2 is the source drive. Thanks.

I'm a tech noob. I'm using Clonez Live on an AMD laptop. For a long time I've been using Clonez Live for cloning my system drive and it works great. Now, for the first time, I want to make an image of my system drive and save it on an external USB connected drive. See attached image. nvme0n1p2 is my system drive and sda2 is the external USB connected backup drive. So I'm pretty sure I want to choose sda2 as my /home/partimag partition. Is that correct?

So if I see the usual screen at the end of a clone job I'll assume the job completed successfully. So I'll take that to be the job completion report.

I never work with images. I only do whole disk clones with the Live USB to an external USB connected drive.

Reference the above pic of the Conezilla clone job final screen. Will this screen look different if there's been a fatal error during the clone job? A fatal error is any error that would prevent the clone job from successfully completing. (Note, I never work with images. I only do whole disk clone jobs using Clonezilla Live on a USB stick.)
