  AMV was designed for very cheap players with weak processors. They can’t decode fancy codecs, so the format uses low compression that those chips can handle. That means a lot more data gets stored per second of video than in an H.264 MP4. The only way to fight this is by using a higher storage device or a shorter video. I know most devices only support fat32 which supports up to 32gb, in order to bypass this you'll have to use a fat32 formatter . As for the video, you can try compressing the video...
