Thank you. Sorry, could I ask a related question :- can I specify the Port 2 impedance as a complex value, and if so what is the syntax? (I wasn't able to find this in the manual or online)

Consider the circuit / simulation: VP1 _net0 0 dc 0 ac 2 SIN(0 2 1MEG) portnum 1 z0 500 R1 0 _net0 1000 tc1=0.0 tc2=0.0 .control SP LIN 2 1MEG 2MEG When run, Ngspice gives the following error message: malloc: Internal Error: can't allocate -8 bytes. This is of course because the circuit requires at least two ports as noted at section 4.1.11 of the manual. However, it would be better if the simulator printed "S-Parameter simulations require at least 2 ports" or similar.
