i see, thank you! and there aren't any problems today!! (i was worried since i've been having issues with my graphics card, it would stop working after i left my pc off for a while, but it's good!)

okay so i set it to device default effects and changed it to sfx/efx & restarted. however, the popup in the second screenshot still shows up and it did automatically change to sfx/mfx. but, it seems to be a bit louder now! the volume still says it's 1-2%, but it sounds better, and games are picking it up more! thank you so much for your help, hopefully there aren't any issues in the future :D

so i tried to install each one and it didn't seem to work/do anything, and whenever i tried sfx/efx, it would just go back to a previously installed one? in the device selector, it's been saying it's installed, but i'm still getting the same popup & it doesn't seem to be working. plus in peace, it is the only device i can select that doesn't have a popup saying "device cant be used...equalizer apo isn't installed," but when testing it the volume still seems to only be at around 1-5%, even after trying...

oh yeah i did forget to uninstall 1.4.2. i just did it now and the popup didn't show up, thank you. what should i do next? opening equalizer does look different now, but the popup in the application is still there when i open it

i'm really sorry but i'm kind of confused, i've never really done anything like this before. what should i try next? and how exactly should i do it?

just tried both of those and neither worked unfortunately. for both, each time i restarted my computer i'd get a popup (first image), and whenever i opened the configuration editor, it'd look the other image.

the setting already enabled when i tried it, plus i tried disabling it and reenabling it, but it still came up with the same message. i did also individually try all the troubleshooting options, plus disabling the use original apo. do you know where i could find an older/newer one? or anything else that would solve this/let me enhance my mic?
