There is a typo in the last line below: Install the AHRL files thus: * sudo -i * cd /usr/local * tar xzvf /root/ahrl_VER.tar.gz (again, replacing VER with the actual version information) This last line should read tar xzvf /root/andy_VER.tar.gz (not tar xzvf /root/ahrl_VER.tar.gz) My install was successful without a single hitch. Andy, I'm dumb-as-a stump. As Johnathan describes, thouth I've been doing linux 10 yrs now, but no confidence how Tar gz install works, and moving extracted file to a proper directory . I need more of a step-by-step instruction? I know it's obvious to an experienced person, but not me. Internet "examples" don't help. I did install xosview no problem. Hey Steve, Had the same problem. I follow Andy's hard work, most impressive! But I am a Linux Mint man, and in fact, I just upgraded to Linux Mint 19.1 (from 18.3) and was THEN successful loading WSJT-X v2.0.0. Your problem is because Andy's current distribution is Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, Fear not! Andy is busy prepairing an update to the current Ubuntu 18.04 LTS "Bionic" which has all the dependencies. Otherwise you would have to compile from source (Tar.gz?) which is something I haven't done yet...didn't...
