Thanks for the reply. The device is quite old and hence the fnet version. It means, there will be additional function to automatically assign IP address if there is a hub. Am I correct?

Hi, I am using fnet stack verion 2.9.0 in a device with K60 CPU. It communicates with the external application via TCP/IP. I would like to know if there any difference in the routine when, 1. the device is directly connected to application 2. there is a Switching Hub between the device and the application If yes, is it possible to know which additional functions are called when the switching hub is present? Thanks in advance, Santosh.

Hi, Unfortunately we can't eliminate the data correction. I suggest applying the data filtering on your side.

Hi, As mentioned in the User's manual, measurement of UAM will be longer when there is a strong reflective material in the background. UAM applies data correction measure to reduce the effect. In your case, it is possible that the environment condition matched with the condition for the correction leading to the shorter distance.

Hi, There are few parameters which affects the scan frequency. First one is the "skip" parameter setting when requsting the data. You can check/set this parameter using the following commands, ~$ rosparam get /urg_node/skip ~$ rosparam set /urg_node/skip 0 The other parameter is the "Scan skip count" in the area configuration window of UAM Project Designer application. Set this also to 0 to avoid any data delay. You can use the URG-Benri application to check if you are receving the data with full...

Hi Sheng, According to your example, the muting and muting override must be enabled at first, right? When muting is at stop condiction , and material touch protectction zone . Then OSSD is turn off that stoping the conveyor. So we can use muting override function (override input and reset input) to make conveyor continuing. Am I right? Yes, that's right. According to manual Fig 3-20 this timing chart, what is different muting state within time interval between exceed time interval? Along with the muting...

Hi Sheng, To better understand the muting and muting override function, I will explain it using conveyor application example. Materials are loaded on the conveyors at one end by humans which then enters the robotic cell for the processing. To prevent humans from entering the robotic cell, safety sensors such as UAM are used. However, there is a need to allow just the materials to pass through the gate. For this purpose, muting function is used, wherein the sequence of muting sensors triggers the...
