I'm having the same issue as well. I'm on Slackware64 15.0. While I could kind of solve(?) this problem by copying the entire .dt directory from my other computer running a much older version of CDE, I'm still having numerous issues such as the whole desktop segfault'ing when I execute a program like the Appearance manager or the Application manager, and the entire desktop/terminal not supporting my non-english locale (ko_KR.UTF-8. I can get korean characters to display on that other computer but...

This is not exactly a solution, but my laptop's GPU was unable to handle high res anyway. https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=159064 I used the following method which lowered my laptop's resolution to 1/4, but now everything on screen looks very crisp with non-antialiased fonts :)

I have a Surface Pro 4, with a 12-inch (?) 2736x1824 high-resolution display. I had tried to get CDE working on it before, but I couldn't, so I'm running FVWM2 on it now... I was unable to make X scale for WM/DEs like CDE, FVWM, WindowMaker. For FVWM I simply made a new config with 2x the size for everything but I don't know what to do for CDE... I'd love to get CDE on my laptop too.

Hello, I'm in a PC running Debian GNU/Linux. I installed CDE to it, and I removed systemd and installed sysvinit instead. After it I made dtlogin as default, and used the workaround to fix the pulseaudio in Project Wiki/Customization. So, audio itself is now working. However, I can't get it working inside a docker container. I needed to use "Zoom", a proprietary video conference software needed at my school. I used this ( https://github.com/mdouchement/docker-zoom-us ) existing project to install....

Oh.. I guess that got broken while changing some components...?? When I installed cde like 6 months ago on my laptop running debian 10, I used the command make World to build and it had the help files. (But I could select to not build by doing make World.dev..)
