I'm running KeePass v2.60 and the Microsoft Terminal app v1.23 on Windows 11. I want KeepPass to Auto-Type a passphrase into a session on a specific remote host. The profile/tab name is "SSH The Name". This shows in the Auto-Type Target Window. When both Terminal and KeePass are running As Administrator, auto-type works - text is typed into the correct window. When Terminal is running as admin and KeePass is not, auto-type does not type into the window. I'm working at home with no security issues...

While a browser client is cool, thanks @pail459 I tried and was successful with installing Google Play Store. Now, happily using KeePass2Android on Kindle Fire, this problem is solved! Thanks @t_bugreporter !

I've used KeePass for many years and have hundreds of entries. I've been using Keepass2Android on Android for years and am very happy with it. I inherited a Kindle tablet with current Fire OS recently. The only KeePass app in the Amazon Store is KeePassDroid which is no longer maintained for any platform. I've already opened an inquiry to Philipp to see if I can sideload an APK to Kindle, without Amazon Store For folks here, is there a trusted Kindle app that imports or users kbdx2 files? OR, (Better?)...

Hey Paul, I'm sorry I laid an egg here last year and didn't follow-up. That's not my style. I haven't had issues with KeePass in a long time and forgot about this report. I did notice that you mentioned PhraseExpress, which I do use. I'll poke around with the recent versions of both and re-post here on my experience within the next couple weeks. If someone here reports a reproducible case I'll attempt to reproduce it independently here.

I was just doing some testing and have temporarily set the Advanced option "Always show global auto-type entry selection dialog". On every second use of the hotkey, the Find (Search the database for entries) dialog displays as a modal dialog over the auto-type selection dialog. The selection is always correct. The Find dialog is simply redundant. 1) Hotkey - selection dialog only 2) Hotkey- Find + selection 3) Hotkey - selection dialog only 4) Hotkey - Find + selection This is 100% repeatable with...

I just hunted down an issue where some auto-typed passwords were not working in some sites. Ultimately the issue was that on a password that starts with two capital letters, the password entered into a field had the first letter left in caps and the second letter was converted to lower case. That occurred because I'm using the fine PhraseExpress software which also has auto-typing, auto-correction, and other great features. I had set the option for auto-correcting the capitalization at the start...

I have done the same for the few entries that have a target window. Then the web site changes the page title or the field arrangement and I'm back to square one. That's going to happen to all of us no matter what. I'm trying to solve a problem where we have control, that is, where the title is Foo( known1| known2) and we manually have to tweak that all the time to accommodate Foo*. I just want to use this computer thing to eliminate problems that we can define, rather than us needing to do repetitive...

Then as a developer you should appreciate how hard it would be I think you're missing some of the detail. - Assume the filter is . Firefox| . Chrome - When we're creating an auto-type entry, if the text we save matches the above, eliminate the text before saving it. - So, look at the list of existing window titles. Wherever the title for a window comes back as "Foo - Firefox" or "Foo - Chrome", eliminate that filter text to get "Foo". Save that as the text to match. - Now hotkey to invoke auto-text....
