I have bought couple of weeks ago a new MacBook Air computer. I want to learn how to program on this computer. I look for FREE Desktop environment that I can install on my computer and start learning how to install the environment , how to operate it and how to program small programs that I can run test. I know it is an ambitious task, so I would need a lot of help. So my real question is : Is this the right place to start? Will I be notified when I get answer by email.
