Hi, no problem! It's strange that the exiftool is different on a mac. But if the commandline mode would work, and/or the exr custom key display, than the exif is not needed. Thanks, Gabor

Hi, thanks for the replies! I attached the screenshot with exiftool on the first jpg. (From https://exiftool.org/) Command is like "exiftool(-k).exe" C:\Temp\Metadatatest.1201.jpg" I downloaded my exr sample, it opens on my side, maybe a bit misleading that it is just a black frame :) Only important is the metadata in it, like "n_comment", and "n_layers" which are displayed correctly in mrviewer. The command line version: there might be a misunderstanding, it's not needed the be anything in the file,...

Hi, thanks for your answer. With exr, mrviewer displays the metadata that is needed, so that's okay. I just needed jpg metadata, which is in the sample, (exiftool can read it) but we can solve it probably some other way. So my questions are: - can we set some metadata keys in prefs, to display them separately in hud, because with attributes hud turned on, in exr a whole page of metadata is visible, but we need just a few custom key of them. - the command line idea is doable? If we provide some metadata...

Another idea, that could be useful, and might be implemented more easily, is to give custom key:value pair arguments as launched from command line, and display those in hud. Thanks, Gabor

Hi, currently there is option to display some metadata (exr or jpg) when turning on "attributes" in hud menu, but it does not display all metadata that the file contains. It would be great if we could pass custom metadata attribute name(s) to display. To be more specific, I write out jpgs with some exif data from nuke, I would like to see displayed in mrviewer. I could use exif like FlashPixVersion (exif/2/FlashPixVersion, don't ask why but nuke likes this tag) or maybe UserComment (exif/2/UserComment...

Hi, I might be mistaken here, but as far as I remember in some older versions, if I changed version of a clip, then the frame I was on, not changed, did not jumped to the start frame of the clip. In v5.8.1 that is the case, after change version, it starts on the first frame. It would be very useful, to stay on the same frame, because I change version in order to compare the 2 versions (on the same frame). If that was not a feature in earlier versions of mrviewer, then please consider this as a feature...

Hi, would be great to have input colorspace as a command line flag (for all the inputs separately). I know I could use colorspace in filenames, but now we are using aces, and some colorspaces have space in their ocio names (e.g.: "Output - srgb"), and I would like to avoid that. And it would make the naming convention more complicated. I could set in preferences for 8bit, but on some project, for example the jpg sequences are in the usual srgb, but this aces project using as the mentioned Output...

Yes it does allow that. When I press on search for version button, it starts a disk search, and then I can switch only between the existing versions. But we are opened to any working solution :) One remark: what is really cumbersome in studio that it cannot handle frame range changes in versions very well. It stores the first image sequence range, as a master range, and if range changes in other versions, like starts a few frames earlier, it usually gets confused. We think the best would be if it...

Hi, one feature that is really really (one of) the best thing in nuke studio, is to handle clips of the same shot, but different versions as one object. For example if you place a clip with .../SHOT001_v005/SHOT001_v005.%04d.exr in the timeline, and there is another sequence with .../SHOT001_v008/SHOT001_v008.%04d.exr on disk, after doing a versionsearch, it finds that one also (based on _vxxx string), and you can step through versions by pressing alt+up or alt+down. Oh, sorry totally missed this posts! I downloaded 4.1.6 now, and works fine with high resolution jpgs with ffmpeg loader, but for hirez pngs only the ocio loader can play continuously. But that's okay :)

Hi, we are in a new studio, working on amd cpu machines, with 128 GB ram. Whenever I want to load a jpg sequence larger than HD, like 3200x1800, it gets slow, around 18-20 fps, with png sequences of the same resolution gets only 8 fps. The caching is strange also, because in spite of the (preferences) setting of 2000 frames cache, it caches only 50-60 frames (at least the green stripe shows that ). Playing files from local disk or from network is the same. HD resolution jpgs fps is ok, but also the...

Hi Gonzalo, we found that if an exr sequence first frame is corrupt, mrviewer will freeze on load. (If the bad frame is inbetween, then it can skip it. ) I think it should go and find the first good frame. Thanks, Gabor
