Please note that with recent releases of PeaZip you can drag and drop (and extract) items from the main file browers pane to the treeview pane on the left. This is not a 1:1 replacement of two pane interface (one pane is a simple treeview), but it allows to use foremost functions of the app in a similar way. Also, you can use tabs to keep an eye on two or more locations, of course this also is not a direct replacement of a two pane file browser but it also offers some similar capabilities. I'll consider...
Thank you for reporting the issue. So far I've tested 9.9.1 version on Windows Italian locale and Linux English locale. On Windows characters are correctly displayed only selecting Chinese Simplified or Traditional. On Linux so far it seems not working and I'm trying to understand if it is even possible to directly use that encodings, or if some compatible encoding exists.
Thank you for reporting the issue, I'll make more test and update KDE 5 service menus for the next release.
Thank you again for your feedback, I've identified some test cases to reproduce the exact error and I'm working on improving the code to handle them properly.
I've successfully tested both files (Windows 10 64 bit, 8GB of RAM, SSD) with 9.9.1. In both cases the TAR archive inside the BZ2 file is successfully opened for browsing, the operation taking about 5/6 seconds on my test machine. The TAR archive is extracted to the temporary work path (the slower part), then another instance of PeaZip is started and the archive is accessed for browsing. 9.8.0 takes approximately the same amount of time, but the progress indicator of the operation is shown on the...
Thank you very much for testing the issue further. If possible, it would be very useful if I could test the file first hand, in order to reproduce the issue and test the involved code for a possible fix.
PeaZip by default tries to open and browse the tar archive inside the bz2 file - options, settings, archive manager tab, "Auto open TAR archives inside compressed TAR.* files" checkbox. This action may take some time, and may be the culprit of the experienced behavior, please check if the option is configired differently in the two copies of the program.
Thank you for reporting the issue. I'll re check the permissions for the next update.
