NOPE! I was NOT able to manually create an MBR disk containing 5 Microsoft Dynamic Disks directly or with one or more conversion MBR-GPT! I am stuck...the only solution I can imagine is to leave clonezilla and move to some other cloning tool for this case. If anyone can help/suggest, please do it! Thanks in advance. Gianni

Here the trick: On GPT disks, the database is contained in a 1-MB reserved (hidden) partition known as the Logical Disk Manager (LDM) Metadata partition. So, my initial partition could be an LDM partition... But wait...original disk is an MBR partitioned disk containing dynamic disks, which officially should be usable only on GPT partitioned disk! Had someone already found such mixed situation? Any hint/suggestion?

Using Microsoft Disk Management I am NOT finding ANY way to exactly replicate the original disk structure....bah! :-(

Latest clonezilla alternative is FAILING to properly restore a Microsoft Windows 7 PC image saved with same version (clonezilla-live-20170905-zesty-amd64).
