I did the reboot / large_pages.exe cycle before and after updating Win10 to 1809 now. However, it never crashed and never showed a blue screen.

I'll do this tomorrow and also try to upgrade the older system to Win 10 1809. The memory of the i7-8700 system is probably slower because it runs with default clocks while the i5-6600K is heavily overclocked, including the RAM.

I can reproduce a crash when I open invalid .chm files in the 7-Zip V16.00 file manager....
