It seems to me that the inserted diameter (stated as Internal Diameter in the software) should be the outlet diameter of the quick reduction/expansion and the inlet diameter for the calculation is taken from the previous pipe/fitting internal diameter. I receive an error if I do not put anything before the quick expansion/reduction, that's why I concluded that. But I would like a confirmation of how I should proceed, since I could not find this information anywhere else. I am basing my guess in this...
Aqui eu esperaria as propriedades da válvula PV-01, nesse caso.
I don't know if I am misusing the feature, but I wanted to close/open a valve under certain vessel operating condition and the drop-down list is blank. Any new file should present this issue. If anyone has any example of this feature working, I would greatly appreciate it if such a file were shared.
It would be nice if there were a splitter that instead of splitting the flow as in a continuous flow (say you have 100m3/h and split into 50m3/h and 50m3/h), it would split this 100m3/h into 100m3/h and 100m3/h for the second stream as well (all but one stream sort of acting as a dummy stream). The point is to be able to evaluate two or more pipe system at the same time without having to make connections/disconnections between pump and pipe segments. I know it's possible to copy all properties from...
Of course! Attached is the sample provided by DWSIM and some screenshots, showing that the block temperatures (cooler and outlet) are not synced. Plus, before the screenshots I just ran the 'solve' button. At the end maybe it's just something with my local DWSIM.
Although up to the cooler the results are ok, the cooler output stream doesn't seems to replicate the temperature yielded in the cooler. Nonetheless, when I do the same example from scratch, it works just fine.
It seems like I can't PSFlash with DWSIM Excel Add-In with Steam Tables, when I try to do so, I receive a message 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' instead of a matrix, though I have filled out all required blank spaces. Additionally, it seems that 'boilingPointTemperature' is slightly off, unenabling me to get the right enthalpy at vapor-liquid equilibrium.
Despite the recent update (which already helped strongly with this situation), I think flowsheet presentations could be enhanced by quite a lot if there a way to edit the block images, instead of using the default options. As for instance, sometimes I would like to have a more accurate visual representation of boiler or have a visual difference between my 'heater' blocks.
