There was a double backslash in the exportpath entry, I don't know how it got there. But that was the whole problem. False Alarm.

Thanks again. I just tested all the four new resolutions (400x300, 1152x864, 1280x960, 1400x1050), and they work fine. I took screenshots to verify that the width and height matched the resolution; they did. Attached the DXwnd configuration that I settled for with Wipeout 2097. It uses only the necessary options, and leaves the rest untouched. (I cannot share it as an export file now, since the export dialog does nu function in Windows XP) For Net-WOXL.exe when selecting the Network game option:...

The file dialog did not appear. Now I messed around with it a little bit, and I may have caused this myself by assuming I could copy over a DXWnd.ini from a slightly older version to a newer one. When I start DXwnd with the suspect DXWnd.ini removed, the export dialog works. This goes for both v2.04.77.a1 and v2.04.77.a2.

@gho, That looks great! A simple test would be to run wipeout with HDMI modes selected, and one custom resolution 800x600. It should then only list this custom resolution at startup. I noticed DXwnd v2.04.76 was released today, but it does not include this feature yet. Are you suggesting I can download DXwnd with this feature from somewhere? @Zellsf No I haven't actually seriously played the more difficult tracks. It seems there is no easy cheat to just test this tournament scenario... or is there?...
