I am finding that my PeppermintOS decides to hang on me after a brief period while using it along with its Chromium browser. When that happens, I have no further control of the app even though I can operate the mouse. Clicking on anything shown on the monitor just doesn't perform anything via the clicked-on icon. I have had to shut down the computer manually by switching off and this is something that I was once told was NOT A GOOD WAY TO EXIT !! Is there a GOOD way to exit from a hang situation...
Hello, dear Friends, Some progress is being made - even with my learn-by-doing method. The youtube video creates a wired Ethernet connection which is not what I hope to get for PeppermintOS. The attachment shows that I have created the beginnings of a WiFi connection which is how I hope to connect to the Internet using my AIS Pocket WiFi. Actually, I have created the same connection 3-4 times already, but after clicking the SAVE button and shutting down and later re-starting PeppermintOS, there is...
Marvel of marvels indeed! The 8 links above will certainly contain the information I would like to have handy and at my side when using Peppermint. Not quite the "User Manual" that I had in mind, but being an open-minded person, I suppose that I can create my very own "User Manual" in a sort of round-about fashion. I've already got the first link above into my computer and ready for printing. Only 7 more to go! Many thanks for the 8 links! This post also can now be be marked as "Solved" -- presumably...
Good morning, cavy! As you can see, I have attached my avatar to my account, thanks to your guidance. Does the forum have a way to mark posts that have been solved as "Solved!" ? If so please advise.

As a PeppermintOS newbie (although an elder chap), I would like to obtain a hard copy of the contents of what Thunar presents via an online visit to the Internet. Is that a possibility? If so, how do I get a "User Manual" downloaded to my PC for perusal, study and daily use? Regards, Pierre Andre in Thailand
Hello to All ! I wish to add my personal avatar to my newly created account, bu seriously need some technical guidance to properly accomplish the task. Thanks in advance for all help provided. Pierre Andre in Thailand
I am an Old Timer (80+ years old - but still going strong) who has been using Xenial 7.5 since I don't recall when. Xenial connected me to the Internet right out of the box - which was great. For some time now, frequent visits to the Internet are telling me that my browser (Firefox 52.9 ESR) is no longer acceptable. Consequently, I am trying out a new OS which can use an more recent version of Firefox. I only use my Linux distros on thumb drives; I've never actually installed a Linux distro on my...
