Hi Jos, When do you think the new vDos version will be released? Geoff.
Hi Jos, I do run this in NTVDM but it needs autoex and config files.Thank you so much for your help. Geoff
Hi Jos, This works under Dosbox but not vDos command is 'bshell reorg cashout" Geoff
Thanks Jos, The file opening issue I had was solved with Morehand but it doesn"t seem to work with this. Very strange because it works in Dosbox. Geoff
Hi Jos, Solved this problem as you suggested. The program I am trying to run has several utilities. One is a file reorganiser. As far as I understand, the system renames data.dat to data.2x, opens a new data.dat, writes the contents and then deletes data.2x.. When I run this under vDos the program reports "cannot open data.dat '. This does work under vDosPlus. Regards Geoff
Hi, I understand that ansi.sys is built into vDos. I use a batch file containing the following to change F keys. We use this on a cash register to go from one function to another. The GW Basic works fine but the F keys do not change. gwbasic NDATE2 gwbasic time prompt $e[0;67;"996";13p prompt $e[0;66;"997";13p prompt $e[0;65;"998";13p prompt $e[0;64;"995";13p prompt $e[0;60;"994";13p prompt $e[0;59;"quit";13p Regards Geoff
Thank you Jos Regards Geoff
I have a similar problem. Mine does not work that slow but a lot slower than NTVDM. My CPU runs at about 40% with no programs running. About 50% running my program under NTVDM and 75% running under vDos Geoffl
Jos, It does work. I was trying run my program from a batch file. 'morehand program ' works fine. Thank you so much for your help. Regards Geoff
Jos, I tried morehand but it did not make any difference. I assume that vDos and vDosPlus are not too dissimilar. Could you have a look at vDosPlus and see what he did to make it work?. I only have two other small issues to resolve and then I am sure I could use vDos to run our business. If so I would gladly donate to the project. Regards Geoff
Jos, My software uses FCB'S and on an older version of vDosPlus I could not open enough files.. I ran my software on vDos and the same is true. The current version of vDosPlus allows me to open as many as I need. Is this a change which is coming to vDos? Geoffl
Hi Jos, Where does vDosPlus go from here? Weinger has heen so helpful to me. My system is almost ready to run. Will he be back? Geoffl
Hi, Can anyone tell me what has happened to vDosPlus discussion? Regards Geoffl
