OK on my GalliumOS machine I have just downloaded version 1.1.19 and it starts and runs as normal. Obviously, however, I would like to keep up with the latest versions in Linux, as I like your program much better than Recoll. Any ideas what could be the problem? I noted that the 1.1.19 download was significantly smaller than the current version.
I have previously not had problems running Docfetcher in MX Linux (Debian) or Gallium OS but I had not run it for a while and today I cannot get it to start . Have you considered using the type of plugin technology that TotalCommander users, especially the "ulister" plugin, which appears to be free: https://totalcmd.net/plugring/oilister.html I personally use these plugins with Freecommander and they work fine, and they even run in linux using WINE.
