Yes, technically it's correct (as always :-). I am just asking myself how intuitive it is if you are on a certain track with a certain instrument, press some notes on your keyboard, hold them, then (for whatever reason) change the active track, then release the keys and are left with stuck notes. I do see very rare useful cases for this behaviour (as in, intentionally creating sustained notes), but I wonder if any other sequencer or DAW works like this.
