Ok, it's getting a bit confusing - so many versions! The master firmware now has these versions: 1.56 - Main master firmware, current version. This is configured for NMC cells, which can balance at any voltage. 1.40 - Master firmware, previous version. This was for LFP cells. There are various bug fixes and feature additions between 1.40 and 1.56. If you want to use LFP cells, you probably want to get 1.56 and change it back to suit LFP (which can only balance at high voltage). Hopefully I documented...
The Low Cost BMS can be used to monitor home storage batteries! The Master board has been updated to be more general-purpose, so it suits vehicle use or home battery use. The Module boards suit either use as well. The Module firmware suits either purpose. There are now two versions of the firmware for the master. One for vehicles and one for home storage. The version numbers for the home storage start with 'H' Today I uploaded BMSMaster_CRW_MPLABX_vH1.01.zip So if you want to make a BMS for home...
This board is re-designed, but the circuit is not much different to version 1.0. The board is designed to be a bit more general-purpose. I'm making this version for a home storage battery, but it could also be used for a vehicle. The main difference is that there are now up to 5 outputs, all of which have MOSFETs on them, and up to 3 inputs.
A couple of modifications as suggested by astro123: -Added a "version" screen to...
Ok, that makes sense having space for people to choose their own components. That...
