FIXED. I did another Virus Total on 7z2407-x64.exe and it unpacked 7zipInstall.exe (ad12cec3a3957ff73a689e0d65a05b6328c80fd76336a1b1a6285335f8dab1ba ) and today 7/18/2024 it reports no malware found. Thanks to whoever followed up on this.

***ARGH! *** My mistake - I did a virustotal on the PORTABLE 7-ZIP version which VirusTotal says is clean. I just visited https://www.virustotal.com/ and the current version of 7-ZIP is cleared as OK: No security vendors and no sandboxes flagged this file as malicious 9cdc31b2b01704031be4b0f10d05d1fc807c3a814fbcd2d25fe8b632187c1c28 7-ZipPortable_24.07.paf.exe Even tho Win11 can now do basic ZIP files, 7-Zips is still a great program. FIXED! The Microsoft NOTEPAD Edit / Find / dialogue box has an option " [ ] wrap around" When I checked that box, the FIND / SEARCH function started again. Finally: the blend 7-Zip and Notepad with ENCRYPTION ON is wonderful. When I update my password file, save it ... the 7-ZIP program askes me if I want to update the encrypted one. YES. I have no trace 'unencrypted' password text file anywhere. I can clone this encrypted password file to my laptop / cloud accounts / smartphone / tablet / backup...

7-ZIP and NOTEPAD are linked just great. My Notepad find function died. Help
