Thanks that explains it. I am trying to translate the code in the book using the examples in the program Help menu. Just one thing I havn't figured out yet. If I open a file with a lot of function definitions in it do I have to evaluate each function severalty by placing the cursor at the end and pressing Ctrl+Enter or is there a way to evaluate the whole file in one go? View.notate() displays garbage
