Thanks for response, now I know, that it makes no sense to dig in the documentation.

Thanks for point out such option, I will watch it more properly to improve mine approach to map creations. But anyway is mine question still pending.

Agreed, I already noticed in several cases, that too much blinking nodes kind of exhaust the map rendering speed. The goal is to do your tasks to not have too much blinking nodes needed :) Sad part regarding icons is, that they are quite small for me, to have an immediate visual feedback and blinking node takes natural visual attention, which is - according to my opinion - requested. Maybe it can be solve by settable, per-node icon size, true. I am interresting in solution anyway, so mine question...

Hello guys, I am searching for API to get the node blinking status, but unfortunately API reference is silent (or I dont ask properly). Can somebody please point me, which function sets/resets the node blinking and namely which one get the node blinking status? (Purpose is simple -- I am using the blinking node as an reminder, that I need to process informations stored in node. I want to write an script, which will filter the blinking nodes only, or process them somehow.) Thanks a lot!

I have tried yours advice and it seems it works for me. I tried it at the current pre-version (6b420ee61fa125a6f4d805b7ae6935eb24df8e7d Dimitry Polivaev 2021-05-09T14:21:22Z) and I did: Remove jython.jar from lib/ in Freeplane user directory; I moved it somewhere else and provide full directory path to it in Tools -> Options -> Plugins -> Scripting -> Classpath (fourth entry from top). Freeplane then starts like charm, see log: ~  freeplane *org.knopflerfish.framework.readonly=true *org.knopflerfish.gosg.jars=reference:file:/usr/share/freeplane/core/...

Hello everybody again, how does it looks like with this issue? It still looks like kind of open, I have tried meanwhile also preliminar versions of Freeplane 1.9.x and there the issue with slow start is even a bit worser... Thanks for response!

I thought so, that there could be also some issue, regarding (pre)compilation... If you use Jython as an scripting engine, you have two options - use standalone JAR binary, which is only one JAR file, or use Jython installer, which depacks itself into folder structure. Installed version has that advantage, that it includes PIP, so you can use whole common python-like environment. I've tried both ways (standalone/installed), when I searched an issue of 30 s time gap, but the time gap is there still...
