One dot more. The BACnet/SC reference implementation is not sending the complet certificate chain during the TLS echange. I don't know also how to do it in C# ... I'm looking for that since a long time ! So if the Hub certifificate in Yabe configuration file is the TestSigningCertificate rather than the TestHub.pem, then this root certificate should be added in the Windows Root certificates store to be automaticaly inserted in the test chain : RemoteCertificateValidationCallback method in BACnet...

  • F. Chaxel F. Chaxel posted a comment on discussion Help

Hi Dennis, No the BACnet/SC reference implementation always use the same certificate. The TestHub code by default is using the TestHub.pem & key files signed by the owner of TestSigningCertificate. The given file Yabe.p12 is in fact the TestNode.pem & key files also signed by the owner of TestSigningCertificate. So if you start TestHub application you can connect it using wss using Yabe.p12. The configuration file for Yabe is attached, The IP endpoint should be addapted. Bye.

Hi, I'm running the TestRouter (on a Rapsberry Pi) and I have a strange behaviour with a Hubconnection and a DirectConnection. I don't get back the same list of devices on my IP segment (and MSTP throught a router), same with the four false connected SC devices (TestNodes). On the attached image one can see the result for the both connections (ws not wss for test). This is a part of the config file : sc.primaryHubURI = ws://${x-sc-host}:47808 sc.hubFunctionBindURI = ws://${x-sc-host}:47808 sc.hubFunctionEnable...

Hi, Windows 10 is not natively OK for TLS1.3. Try https://sourceforge.net/p/yetanotherbacnetexplorer/code/HEAD/tree/trunk/Docs/ActivateTLS1.3%20On%20Win10.reg but not always working ! Without any kind of problem on Windows 11. Bye

Hi, Can TLS 1.3 works without certificate ? No for the server, yes for the client. Only TLS1.2 and older allows a server without certificate. For BACnet/SC under TLS 1.3, no for both server and client. But it's simple to create a self signed certificate (got XCA software) or to get one everywhere for instance here on sourceforge and to used it as a fake one : only if certificates check can be desactivated. Direct connection is the same protocol (only a small field in the frames : subprotocol identification...

Hi, It's due to the underlying windows object without event notification when the value is the same as the oldest one. But the test is done on the text value before a conversion. So you can put for instance a space before or after the numbers. Bye.
